CHARUSAT to sponsor up to 13 schools in Gujarat under Saras-3D school sponsorship programme

Saras-3D, aimed at building STEM education in India, announced CHARUSAT as the first patron for their school sponsorship programme.

• Each school to receive a stereoscopic 3D technology-based learning solution worth 50 lakhs
• Schools will be provided software and hardware designed specifically for 9th to 12 std students
• The selection process will be based on nominations, judged by a group high-level committee of eminent educationist and industry experts

Saras-3D, Inc., a US based EdTech start-up, comprising of technology innovators and educators that are harnessing the power of stereoscopic 3D technology, focused towards building STEM education in India, today announced CHARUSAT as the first patron for their school sponsorship program.

Under this arrangement, CHARUSAT will exclusively sponsor up to 13 schools across Gujarat. Each of the selected school will receive a Stereoscopic 3D Classroom Experience and a Stereoscopic 3D Lab Experience totally worth INR 50 Lakhs. The sophisticated software consists of yearly subscriptions for 4 years for 9th to 12th grade Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics for both the modules. The package also includes overall training to the teachers of the selected schools.

Eligibility criteria:

• Nominations are invited from non-boarding English medium schools.
• The schools imparting science (physics, chemistry, and biology) and mathematics education in grades 9th to 12th must follow NCERT/CBSE curriculum.
• The student population across 9th to 12th science and mathematics classes should also be 300 or more.

Schools from all districts are invited to nominate themselves and join hands in the journey to enhance STEM learning experiences This will be a month-long process wherein various schools across Gujarat are invited to fill in their nominations, showcasing their eligibility to receive these sponsorships.

A high-level committee of eminent educationist and industry experts will overlook the selection process. The committee is led by Dr. Pankaj Joshi, Distinguished Professor of Physics at Ahmedabad University. Dr. Devang Joshi, Registrar CHARUSAT and Mr. Kashyap Mankad, ex Group Director at ISRO, and currently, Director at 3D EdTech, Indian subsidiary of from Saras-3D Inc.

Commenting on this partnership, Mr. Kashyap Mankad, Ex Group Director at ISRO and Founding Member and Consulting Technical Director, 3D EdTech, said, “We are pleased that a visionary organisation like CHARUSAT has decided to partner with us in sponsoring this school programme.
